Last updated: 11 October 2026

1. Introduction & Business Information

Welcome to Watcheski.

These Terms of Service govern your use of watcheski.com and any purchases made directly through our website.

Watcheski is an independent United Kingdom-based retailer specialising in individually selected vintage, pre-owned and collectible timepieces.

The website is operated by Jakub Bednarski, a sole trader trading as Watcheski.

Business correspondence address:

Website: https://watcheski.com

By placing an order, you acknowledge these Terms of Service and the applicable product information, subject to your statutory consumer rights.

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

2. Nature of Vintage & Pre-Owned Timepieces

Watcheski specialises primarily in vintage and pre-owned watches.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, our watches are not new products and may exhibit characteristics consistent with their age, previous ownership, construction and maintenance history.

Such characteristics may include cosmetic wear, signs of polishing, ageing components and variations in mechanical performance.

Each watch is individually described and photographed to represent its condition as accurately as reasonably possible.

Customers are strongly encouraged to review all product descriptions, condition reports, specifications and photographs before purchasing.

Any known significant defects, functional limitations or material alterations will be disclosed in the individual product listing.

All goods remain subject to applicable statutory requirements concerning satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose and conformity with their description.

3. Product Descriptions, Condition & Photography

Each timepiece is offered in accordance with its individual product listing.

Product photographs are intended to provide an accurate representation of the actual watch being offered, except where clearly identified as illustrative.

Due to lighting, screen calibration and photographic conditions, minor variations in the appearance of colours or finishes may occur.

The condition of a watch must be considered in conjunction with its description, age, price, photographs and any specifically disclosed defects.

Customers may contact Watcheski before purchase to request clarification or additional photographs.

Significant defects will not be treated as adequately disclosed merely because they may be visible in a photograph where applicable law requires more specific information.

Watcheski remains responsible for goods conforming to the contract and applicable consumer legislation.

4. Authenticity, Originality & Components

Watcheski endeavours to supply authentic and accurately described timepieces.

Vintage watches may have undergone servicing, restoration, polishing or component replacement during their lifetime.

Where known and material to the description, replacement, aftermarket, refinished or non-original components will be disclosed.

Unless expressly stated, the presence of every original component or an entirely unaltered historical configuration is not guaranteed.

Any representations concerning authenticity, originality, provenance or component condition remain subject to applicable consumer law.

References to watch manufacturers and trademarks are used for identification and descriptive purposes. Watcheski is an independent retailer and is not affiliated with or officially endorsed by the manufacturers unless expressly stated.

5. Mechanical Performance & Service History

Vintage and pre-owned watches may not perform to the same standards as modern or newly serviced timepieces.

Mechanical movements may exhibit variations in accuracy, power reserve, winding efficiency or operational characteristics depending on their age, construction and condition.

Unless expressly stated in the individual listing:

  • Watches are not represented as recently serviced or overhauled.

  • Original factory accuracy tolerances are not guaranteed.

  • Original factory power reserves are not guaranteed.

  • Service history may be incomplete or unknown.

  • A current manufacturer's warranty is not guaranteed.

  • Future servicing requirements cannot be predicted with certainty.

Watches described as functioning will be expected to perform consistently with their individual description and the requirements of applicable consumer law.

Known significant mechanical defects or functional limitations will be disclosed before purchase.

These provisions do not exclude responsibility for goods that are faulty, misdescribed or otherwise fail to conform to the contract when supplied.

5A. Sale, Discounted & Restoration Timepieces

Discounted & Sale Items

Watcheski may offer selected timepieces at reduced prices, including promotional, clearance and end-of-collection items.

All discounted watches are sold in accordance with their individual product descriptions, photographs, disclosed condition and stated functionality.

All sale and discounted purchases are considered final following the expiry of the applicable statutory cancellation period, except where the customer retains a statutory right or remedy.

Discounted items remain subject to the statutory fourteen (14) day right of withdrawal for eligible online purchases.

Faulty, Non-Running & Restoration Timepieces

Certain watches may be offered at reduced prices due to identified mechanical faults, cosmetic defects, missing components, incomplete functionality or restoration requirements.

Such items will be clearly identified in their individual product listings, with known significant defects and functional limitations expressly disclosed before purchase.

Where a particular defect has been specifically brought to the customer's attention before entering into the contract, the customer cannot ordinarily rely solely upon that disclosed defect as grounds for asserting that the goods fail to conform to the contract.

Watches expressly described as non-running, faulty or requiring restoration are not represented as fully operational timepieces.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, Watcheski does not guarantee the feasibility, cost or outcome of any required repairs or restoration work.

Condition & Customer Acknowledgement

Customers purchasing discounted, faulty or restoration timepieces are strongly advised to review the entire product description, photographs and disclosed defects before placing an order.

The purchase price may reflect the watch's disclosed mechanical condition, cosmetic imperfections or restoration requirements.

Any representations concerning condition or functionality remain subject to applicable consumer law.

Returns & Statutory Rights

Watcheski does not offer additional voluntary change-of-mind returns on discounted, faulty or restoration timepieces following the expiry of the applicable statutory cancellation period.

The classification of an item as discounted, faulty, non-running or a restoration project does not exclude the statutory right of withdrawal or any applicable legal remedy.

Where goods are misdescribed, exhibit undisclosed defects or otherwise fail to conform to the contract, customers retain their statutory rights under applicable consumer protection legislation.

6. Water Resistance, Moisture Exposure & Internal Indicators

All watches sold by Watcheski must be considered non-waterproof, irrespective of their original manufacturer's specifications, case markings, historical water-resistance ratings or previous testing.

Due to the age, condition and potentially unknown maintenance history of vintage and pre-owned timepieces, Watcheski does not guarantee water resistance under any circumstances unless expressly agreed in writing.

Customers are strongly advised against exposing their watches to water, moisture, steam or excessive humidity, including but not limited to showering, bathing, swimming, heavy rain or submersion.

Original water-resistant properties may have deteriorated due to ageing seals, previous repairs, component wear or changes to the watch's construction.

Water Damage & Customer Responsibility

Watcheski does not provide an additional commercial warranty covering water or moisture damage.

Where damage is established to have resulted from water exposure occurring after delivery, Watcheski shall not be responsible for the associated repair or replacement costs, except where otherwise required by law.

Any allegation of moisture-related damage will be assessed according to the available evidence, the condition of the watch when supplied and applicable consumer legislation.

Internal Moisture-Contact Indicators

Where technically appropriate, Watcheski may install a moisture-contact indicator within the watch case as an additional means of documenting potential water exposure.

The condition of the indicator may be photographed and recorded before dispatch, alongside relevant movement photographs, serial numbers and condition assessments.

Such indicators are designed to change appearance following contact with liquid water.

A change in the indicator's appearance may be considered as supporting evidence of moisture exposure during an investigation.

However, moisture indicators do not provide conclusive evidence of when exposure occurred, who was responsible or whether a pre-existing defect was present. An untriggered indicator does not guarantee the absence of historical water damage or internal corrosion.

Where water-related damage is suspected, Watcheski reserves the right to request a reasonable inspection of the timepiece, including the moisture indicator where fitted, and may seek an independent watchmaker's technical assessment.

The absence, activation or condition of a moisture indicator shall not, by itself, determine responsibility or invalidate statutory consumer rights.

Statutory Rights

Nothing in this section excludes or restricts any statutory rights relating to goods that were faulty, misdescribed or otherwise failed to conform to the contract when supplied.

7. Prices & Availability

All prices displayed on watcheski.com are in Pounds Sterling (GBP).

Product prices and applicable delivery charges are presented before an order is placed.

Watcheski is not currently registered for VAT and does not separately charge VAT on its sales.

As many of our watches are individually sourced and offered in single quantities, availability may change.

We endeavour to maintain accurate stock information.

In the event that a product becomes unavailable, or a genuine pricing or listing error is identified, we will contact the customer as soon as reasonably possible.

Where an order cannot lawfully or reasonably be fulfilled, any payment received will be refunded in accordance with applicable law.

We will not unilaterally increase the price of an accepted order without the customer's agreement.

8. Orders & Contract Formation

The display of products on watcheski.com constitutes an invitation to purchase.

By submitting an order, you are making an offer to purchase the selected goods at the prices and on the terms presented at checkout.

An automated order acknowledgement confirms receipt of your order but does not necessarily constitute acceptance.

Unless we expressly confirm acceptance earlier, the contract is formed when we confirm that the order has been dispatched.

Before acceptance, Watcheski may decline an order for legitimate reasons, including stock unavailability, suspected fraudulent activity, payment failure or a genuine listing error.

If payment has already been received and an order is declined, the payment will be refunded without undue delay.

Nothing in this section restricts statutory cancellation rights.

9. Payment & Order Verification

Payments are processed through the payment methods made available at checkout.

Orders must be paid for using an authorised payment method.

For customer and business protection, Watcheski may undertake proportionate verification checks where an order raises legitimate payment or security concerns.

Such checks may include confirming order details, investigating discrepancies or reviewing payment-provider fraud indicators.

Where reasonably necessary, dispatch may be delayed while verification is completed.

If an order cannot be verified satisfactorily, Watcheski may decline it before contract acceptance or take other action permitted by law.

Any personal information processed for fraud prevention will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.

10. Delivery & Dispatch

Watcheski currently offers direct website delivery to eligible United Kingdom addresses only.

All website orders are dispatched using Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm, with tracking, delivery confirmation and the applicable compensation option selected according to the shipment's value.

Delivery charges are shown at checkout.

Orders are normally prepared for dispatch within 1-2 working days after payment confirmation, unless otherwise stated.

Royal Mail's advertised delivery time begins once a parcel has been accepted into its network and remains subject to its service conditions, acceptance deadlines and delivery restrictions.

Customers must provide accurate delivery details.

If an error is identified, please contact Watcheski promptly so that reasonable efforts can be made to resolve it before dispatch.

Responsibility for goods ordinarily remains with Watcheski until they come into the physical possession of the customer or a person nominated by them, other than the carrier, in accordance with applicable law.

Full delivery information is provided in our Shipping Policy.

11. High-Value Orders

For orders exceeding £2,500, standard website shipping arrangements may not provide sufficient compensation or suitable delivery protection.

Such orders may require an individually arranged insured delivery service or an agreed collection arrangement.

Applicable delivery arrangements and any additional costs will be communicated and agreed before the relevant purchase is completed.

No shipment will be represented as insured for its full value unless appropriate cover has been confirmed.

12. Returns, Cancellation & Refunds

Eligible online purchases are subject to the statutory right of cancellation, generally exercisable within fourteen (14) days after delivery.

Customers are responsible for the direct cost of change-of-mind return shipping where they have been properly informed of this obligation.

Returned watches may be inspected against original condition records, photographs, serial numbers and supplied accessories.

Where handling beyond what is reasonably necessary results in diminished value, Watcheski may make a lawful and proportionate deduction from a cancellation refund.

The applicable cancellation procedure, reimbursement deadlines, faulty-goods remedies and return arrangements are detailed in our separate Returns & Refunds Policy.

Nothing in these Terms of Service overrides that policy or the customer's statutory rights.

13. Post-Delivery Inspection & Reporting

Customers are strongly encouraged to inspect their watch and its packaging immediately upon delivery.

Any suspected transit damage, missing contents or functional concerns should be reported promptly, preferably within forty-eight (48) hours of receipt.

Please contact hello@watcheski.com and provide the order number, a description of the concern and relevant evidence where reasonably available.

Customers should retain the original packaging where transit damage is suspected.

Failure to report within 48 hours does not automatically invalidate a claim, remove statutory rights or establish customer responsibility.

The timing of a report may be considered alongside other evidence when investigating the circumstances of an alleged incident.

14. Accidental Damage, Misuse & External Repairs

Watcheski is not responsible for damage or faults established to have resulted from customer-caused events after delivery.

These may include:

  • Accidental impact, dropping or physical damage.

  • Improper handling, operation or misuse.

  • Water exposure contrary to the stated suitability of the watch.

  • Damage caused by inappropriate adjustment or maintenance.

  • Damage caused by third-party servicing, repairs or modifications.

Customers are encouraged to contact Watcheski before arranging external repair or modification where a fault is suspected.

This allows the issue to be assessed and relevant evidence to be preserved.

Watcheski may reasonably request an opportunity to inspect a watch or consider an independent technical assessment when investigating a disputed fault.

Third-party inspection or repair does not automatically invalidate statutory rights.

Responsibility will be determined according to the facts, available evidence and applicable law.

15. Additional Warranties

Unless expressly stated in an individual product listing or accompanying documentation, Watcheski does not provide an additional commercial mechanical warranty.

No additional guarantee is given that a vintage movement will remain free from all maintenance requirements or achieve factory-new performance indefinitely.

This section does not exclude or restrict any statutory guarantee, legal remedy or consumer right arising from goods failing to conform to the contract.

16. Ownership & Risk

Ownership of goods transfers to the customer once the purchase price has been paid in full and the goods have been supplied, subject to applicable law.

Risk of accidental loss or damage during delivery remains with Watcheski until it passes in accordance with applicable consumer legislation.

The purchase of additional delivery services or the customer's selection of a shipping option does not automatically transfer delivery risk to the customer.

17. Fraud Prevention & Return Verification

Watcheski may maintain records of products supplied, including relevant serial numbers, identifying characteristics, condition photographs, functionality assessments and dispatch documentation.

These records may be used to investigate genuine disputes, suspected item substitution, fraudulent returns or payment-related concerns.

Any suspected fraudulent activity may be investigated and referred to appropriate parties where lawful and proportionate.

These procedures will not be used to deny legitimate consumer rights.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection law and our Privacy Policy.

18. Website Content & Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, original Watcheski branding, product photography, written material and website content are owned by Watcheski or used with appropriate permission.

Such material must not be reproduced or exploited commercially without authorisation, except as permitted by law.

Manufacturer names, logos and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

19. Website Availability & Information

We endeavour to ensure that watcheski.com remains accurate, accessible and operational.

Occasional maintenance, technical issues or temporary interruptions may occur.

Website information may be corrected or updated where necessary.

Any changes to published terms will apply prospectively and will not retrospectively alter the terms of an existing contract without an appropriate lawful basis.

Nothing in this section excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.

20. Liability & Consumer Protection

Nothing in these Terms of Service excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Nothing excludes or restricts the customer's statutory rights relating to satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose, description, delivery or applicable consumer remedies.

Watcheski is not automatically responsible for damage or faults caused by events occurring after delivery for which the customer is legally responsible.

Any dispute regarding responsibility will be assessed in accordance with applicable law.

21. Complaints & Dispute Resolution

If you have a concern regarding an order, please contact:

hello@watcheski.com

Please provide your order number, a description of the issue and any relevant evidence reasonably available.

We aim to assess complaints fairly and seek an appropriate resolution.

Nothing in these terms prevents customers from seeking independent advice, exercising chargeback or other lawful payment rights, or pursuing remedies available through the courts or other competent bodies.

22. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Nothing in this provision deprives a consumer of any mandatory legal protections or rights relating to jurisdiction that would otherwise apply.
